Up for bid is a Statewide Iowa Deer tag, this is for a statewide buck tag and antlerless tag. The winning bidder of this tag will be helping support the Aiming for a Cure Foundation. Proceeds from this tag will be split 50/50 with the Iowa DNR and Aiming for a Cure Foundation. The Aiming for a Cure foundation is a non-profit organization.

The mission of the Aiming For a Cure Foundation is to raise funds to benefit pediatric oncology patients and families dealing with difficult times and decisions in our local communities. Our goal is to improve the quality of care and quality of lives of these children and families through the funding of research, non-insured expenses and patient care.

The winning bidder can choose to keep or give away the tag; the hunter can choose either 2018 or 2019 to hunt (not both); the choice of seasons are - archery; shotgun 1 or 2; or late muzzle. There is no zone restriction.. so the license/tag are good statewide. The hunter will be subject to a background check for violations/convictions, including fish & wildlife violations. Also keep in mind that the hunter cannot obtain more than 1-"buck tag" in a license year.whether it be by drawing/auction/ or application.

THIS TAG CAN NOT BE RESOLD. HOWEVER, THE HIGH BIDDER THAT CLAIMS THIS TAG CAN REQUEST THAT THE TAG/LICENSE BE ISSUED IN SOMEONE'S NAME THAT DOES NOT ALREADY HAVE AN IOWA DEER TAG.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNING BIDDER **TO CONTACT THE DNR A MINIMUM OF 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO THEIR HUNTING SEASON SO THAT A TAG CAN BE MADE IN THEIR NAME. **THE DEER MUST BE REPORTED AND REGISTERED WITH THE DNR, EITHER BY PHONE OR ONLINE, AFTER THE HARVEST. **THE WINNING BIDDER MUST PURCHASE A HUNTING LICENSE AND PAY A HABITAT FEE ABOVE THE COST OF THE DEER TAG. HUNTING LICENSE AND HABITAT FEE TOTAL $126.

BECAUSE WE ARE A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, ANY BID ABOVE $426 WILL BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE. THE $426 COST OF THIS TAG IS PAID FOR FROM THE DNR'S Â½ OF THE PROCEEDS.
